In the highly innovative machinery and equipment construction area, our heating elements and equipment find mainly application in the tasks of heating, maintaining temperatures or evaporating liquid or gaseous media. The installation of our equipment can take place both in non-hazardous and hazardous areas of zones 1 and 2.
In order to optimize the flow characteristics of different fluids, it is necessary to influence the viscosity of the liquid in such a way that a sufficiently good flow rate is obtained. For this purpose Schniewindt produces threaded immersion and cartridge type heaters as well as circulation heaters used to adjust hydraulic oil to the required viscosity.
Industrial cleaning and degreasing systems are indispensable for many applications today. The efficiency of such systems is necessarily linked with thermal energy input. Schniewindt provides for these installations screw-plug and flanged immersion heaters, also available in explosion-proof execution ( Ex ).

Defined surface roughness of the components in contact with the process fluids and the use of stainless steels an the material grades 1.4404 (AISI 316-L) and 1.4435 (modified AISI 316-L) provide a safe low clearance volume version for different procedures
Heat transfer systems
In the field of heat transfer systems thermal oil belongs, besides steam, to the most commonly used heat transfer media. The kilowatt ratings of these heat transfer systems range from a few kW up to the high MW range. Together with the corresponding controls, Schniewindt thermal oil systems are designed for very high availability at a constant temperature output, also for installation in hazardous areas.
Tempering equipment and systems are used in production, research and application technology. The task of these thermoregulation systems is to provide the respective process with the required medium temperature. Specifically for this scope of functions, Schniewindt provides a universal solution with its threaded immersion heaters.
CSN® Screw-in Heater
Steam is used in the industry primarily as a heat carrier. It is used for heating tools, fluids and gases. As diverse as the applications are the solutions Schniewindt makes available to this market.
Electric heating of asphalt in appropriate storage containers has a long tradition at Schniewindt. Our ability to manufacture our own tubular heating elements up to a length of 7 m and in various diameters means that customized process solutions can be individually implemented.
Electrical plant construction
There are numerous application possibilities for CSN® resistors in electrical plant construction. We supply resistors tailor-made to your respective area of application e.g. for lifts or conveyor belts, for limiting switch-on current when transformers are switched on, for the neutral earthing of transformers or generators as well as for damping and for filter circuits.
Today, electric arc furnaces are primarily used for the production of high-quality steel. To minimise grid reaction, special RC circuits are used. We can supply you with suitable CSN® resistors for the RC links.
